Cameras Across Cultures: Colombia
Since 2001, Outside the Lens (OTL) has delivered its adaptable curriculum to 13,000 children in weekly classes, after-school programs, summer sessions, workshops and teacher trainings. Students tell their unique personal stories through photography, video and other digital media forms while under the guidance of writers, journalists, filmmakers, photographers, artists and teachers.

Cameras Across Cultures: Thailand
The Outside the Lens CXC Thailand program provides the opportunity for
cross-cultural exchange between students from Shan and San Diego. In partnership with Photo Pal and Fortune Group Center, Outside the Lens trained staff in Thailand is implementing OTL curriculum, and working with students on our acclaimed Here I Am project.

Outside the Lens youth participate in a 2-week intensive film workshop and cross cultural exchange with local high school students in Bosnia-Herzegovina. In collaboration with MFF School, the students write and create their own short films.

Cameras Across Cultures: India
The Outside the Lens CXC India program provides the opportunity for cross-cultural exchange between students from Jaipur and San Diego. In partnership with The Tushita Foundation, Outside the Lens trained staff in India is implementing OTL curriculum, and working with students on various photo projects. Thus far, students in Jaipur have completed both the “Three of Me” and “Here I Am” projects.
