Land+Lenses: Waves of Words
Breathwork, Poetry, and Open Mic…
Immerse yourself in a creative space that blends deep breathing, poetry, and live music. You’ll participate in guided writing exercises, reflect on personal and collective experiences, and have the opportunity to share your words in an open mic setting. With the sounds of the ocean as a backdrop, this workshop fosters mindfulness, self-expression, and community connection.
Come to a free Land and Lenses art workshop in the park led by Media Arts Educators from Outside The Lens. Snacks and materials are provided. All ages welcome.

Get to know Otay Regional Valley Park and YMCA’s Camp Surf beach and learn about the significance of the land through different art+photo mediums exploring themes of environmental justice, identity & belonging, and resilience. Explore ways we can amplify community voices and connect with each other through art advocacy!

- Every other Tuesday at YMCA Camp Surf from 3/18 to 5/13 (flexible participation)
- Guest speakers to facilitate special workshops
- Your work will be featured in a culminating exhibition at The Front Arte y Cultura
- Snacks will be provided and workshops are open to ALL ages
