2024 Board Members

Ivy Gordon, Board Chair 
Master Chair, Vistage International
Ivy has a distinguished four-decade business career as an entrepreneur and business owner. She co-founded a computer company in 1976, sold it in 1993, and now chairs two private advisory boards through Vistage International. Ivy holds a Master's in Organization Development from Pepperdine University.

Dr. Bibhu Mohanty, Board Treasurer 
Qualcomm, Vice President, Engineering, Wireless Research Division 
Bibhu received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UMASS, Amherst in 1993. He has contributed to the worldwide cellular revolution through his work on CDMA Cellular Base Station architecture, protocols, and algorithms at Qualcomm.

Maite Benito Agahnia, Board Member 
Abstract Artist
Born and raised in Mexico and graduating from San Diego State University, Maite is a renowned fine arts painter and graphic designer. As a co-founder of Outside the Lens, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization's mission and creative vision. She has exhibited her artwork internationally and founded her own graphic design firm, bringing a unique perspective and creative expertise to the board.

Caroline Nordquist, Board Member
Chief Advancement Officer, Mingei Museum
Caroline is a seasoned nonprofit arts leader with over two decades of experience in fundraising and community engagement. She drives strategic initiatives at the Mingei—building partnerships and securing resources to advance their mission of cultural heritage and artistic expression.

Shelly Pierce, Board Member
Philanthropist 
Shelly is a Northwestern University graduate and co-founder of Outside the Lens. With a background in performing arts, TV, and film, she has made significant contributions to the arts community, formerly working as a docent and arts educator at the Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego.
